Established since 1989, Ferndales Clydesdale Stud is located in Capel, near the Margaret River Wine Region in Western Australia.

Ferndales Clydesdale Stud is proudly owned and managed by Darryl and Janine Eakin.

The Eakin’s strive to produce a quality horse that performs at the top end of both halter and harness competitions. The numerous titles, trophies and ribbons on display at the Eakin homestead are testament of their proven success throughout Australia.

Darryl and Janine Eakin are well known for their experience, keen eye and skill in personally hand selecting quality horses from superior blood lines for their breeding programs. At present, the herd at Ferndales Clydesdale Stud consists of three stallions; nine mares and an admirable team of geldings. 

Ferndales Clydesdales are a versatile breed offering something for everyone. They are highly adaptable and successfully suit numerous tasks including showing, working, driving and riding.

With beautiful temperaments and enviable features, the Clydesdale is a horse that will melt any heart.
